WW TRAINING CAMP – UPDATE

UPDATE

Although this course already sold out, we are trying to secure another 5  places. Please book a space in the Member Zone on the Warm Weather Waiting List to apply for a place. Spaces will be allocated in the order that they are booked, and, in the event that everyone can’t be accommodated, we will give a full refund to anyone missing the cutoff.

With the 2017 season nearly over, many of us will be already thinking about how to get that extra improvement for next year! The Belpark Warm Weather training camp will return in 2018 to kick start your season and iron out some of those skill rough edges before the season starts. We will return to the excellent facilities in Club La Santa (www.clublasanta.com) in Lanzarote from March 17th-24th (As the 19th is a bank holiday, that will mean only 4 days off work for most people).

The camp is suitable for athletes of all abilities with coaches ready to train all skill levels from beginner to experienced. There may also be a small amount of craic at the end of the day. Just make sure you don’t pick up a “Sports Bar” injury..

We have secured the services of Tanja Slater again for next year. Not only is Tanja an accomplished athlete herself, she has held several successful swim camps for the club and coached a number of club athletes on a  personal level as well.

The cost of the camp (excl. flights) will be broadly in line with last year with an option of 2 sharing likely to be €735 and 3 sharing for €590. This cost includes Self-Catering accommodation, transfers and all coaching costs. Bike Hire is available on site for approx.. €100 for the week or bring your own.

In order to gauge the level of interest for next year, all we’d ask is a deposit of €100 (through the normal club booking system).

Please note: We ask that you reserve a place on the club booking site but not to book flights until we confirm that the minimum numbers have been reached for the camp to proceed.

The deposit is refundable if the camp doesn’t happen (which is unlikely as it has sold all its places the last 2 years). The balance is payable in installments later in the year.

Still unsure? Have a read of Naomi’s recap of the 2017 WW Training Camp and you’ll be packing your bags..
