Transition Talk Weekly News - 2nd July Vol 3.5

Blessington Triathlon

Blessington Triathlon was held on Sunday 1st July. 400 competitors competed and 80 marshals from Belpark & Blessington Sailing Club where there to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.

There was 3 race options – sprint distance, standard distance and standard aquabike.

Well done to Patrick Barry and Bronagh McConnell who was 1st overall in the Sprint distance race!

  • BIKE HANDLING SESSION A bike handling skills session has been organised with Aidan Hammond in Corkagh park on 14th July for all club members. Sign up ASAP to secure your spot. See forum for details.
  • WARM WEATHER CAMP After the success of this years camp we are going back to Club La Santa in 2019. Dates 16-23rd March. Bookings will be taken in the next 2 weeks.


      • Mon – UCD swimming 6.00-8:00; Pilates S&C classes 19:30-21:30
      • Tues – Rathfarnham run intervals 18.30-19.30; UCD swimming 19.00-20.00. Brick session 7pm, Meet at back of Marley park.
      • Wed – UCD swimming 6.30-7.30
      • Thurs – Deer Park Coached run session 19.00
      • Fri – UCD swimming 6:00-8:00
      • Sat - As per training plan
      • Sun – Club Target Race: Harbourman Wicklow Tri Standard Race. Also, Open water swim @ Seapoint 6pm for members.
