Belpark welcomes people of all ages and abilities and we strive to make our club welcoming and accessible to beginners. Joining Belpark is very easy.
If you are thinking of joining Belpark or have just joined and want to know how you can get more involved, please get in touch with us today.
If you are completely new to triathlons, then we have a dedicated New to Tri training program for new members at the beginning of each season. Details will be posted on the website so come back again for updates. In the meantime here’s a list of our regular new members’ activities.
Beginners’ Run Sessions
Beginners/Improvers Run Sessions incorporated into the regular Rathfarnham AC session. Meet at the Leceister Celtic FC Clubhouse at 18:15 in Nutgrove Park for a 18:30 start. There are basic facilities for changing and locking your bike. Bring a stopwatch if you have one and warm running gear. Read more.
Fortnightly Novice Cycles
Our novice spins leave the Rathfarnham AC Clubhouse (across from AIB on Main St Rathfarnham) every second Saturday at 8:00am. These spins are aimed at those new to Belpark, triathlon and group spins. Spins will start at around 40km-60 km in length and an average speed of 20-22kph. It’s great fun for those starting out. This group will always be led by an experienced member of the club, and pace will be carefully controlled to suit the ability of those attending – nobody will be left behind. A small amount of cycling experience is required before attending – you must have previously completed at least 1 sixty min spin. The spins last 1-2hrs at an easy pace. Road bike, helmet, warm clothing, snack, phone, some cash, pump and spare tube all compulsory! Read more.
Every Friday 7am – 8am in the UCD 50m pool. We offer block bookings (12-14 weeks) as well as Pay-as-you-go places if you want to try a swim or two before committing to a full block. Swim blocks and PAYG spaces can both be purchased in our members area (Member Zone). Read more.
