There is a strong focus on women’s training in Belpark with lots of opportunities for beginners to attend the various training sessions. Maeve Maher-McWilliams is our current women’s captain. Get in touch with her with any queries relating to women’s training or racing.


Beginner bikes run on a weekly basis on a Saturday morning. Spins will start at around 40km-50 km in length and an average speed of 20-22kph. Information regarding the cycle is posted on the club forum prior to the cycle. For those at an intermediate/advanced level, we have two bike options on a weekly basis: Saturday fast group, men and women, leaving from clubhouse. Sunday intermediate (Average Speed: 26 km+ Distance: 80-100km) & Improver groups (Average Speed: 22-26km Distance: 60-80 km), men and women, leaving from clubhouse. Details of routes, distances etc of these spins are posted on the club forum each week.


Our run sessions are held in conjunction with Rathfarnham WSAF who have a strong female squad. These interval based sessions take place in Bushy Park (during the summer) on a Tuesday evening at 6.30pm. During the winter months (October – March) these sessions take place in Nutgrove Park. Meet the group at Leicester FC grounds at 6.15pm.


Our swim sessions which take place in UCD on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings cater for all levels. More details are available on our Swimming Training page. During the summer, we run open water sessions on a Sunday at 5pm in Seapoint or Killiney depending on tide times.
